Top 5 Chicken Coop Plans/Building Guides
If youre looking to raise chickens, building your own coop is the obvious thing to do. Unless you despise money and want to get rid of it, prebuilt coops just cost too much. However, jumping at some pieces of wood and going for it isnt a good idea either, some thought is needed on how to build a chicken coop, and more so, some plans.
Now, Im assuming you dont have plans, because if you did, you probably wouldnt be reading this. So, you need to buy backyard chicken coop plans. Now Im sure youve looked around the internet, and there are tons of plans out there, and its all rather confusing. Well Ive looked through all of them, and promoted several of them before, so I thought Id give my opinion on the top 5 Chicken Coop Plans, and why:
Chicken Kit To be honest this product amazed me when I found it, most chicken coop plans packages are very similar but the Chicken Kit just stood out as a cut above! It has over 100 plans, with very simple diagrams, which they are happy to show off on their sales page, and will offer a free sample ( and a free eCourse). The normal bonuses that other packages give are included in their base package, and they have more extras on top!
The really big clincher that got me though, was the free trial, all the products on this list have a 60 day money-back guarantee, but this one actually gives you the product BEFORE you pay, for a processing fee of $5 they give you the product, asking that if your happy they will charge the other $35 in 3 weeks, or you can cancel. And should you pay, and be unsatisfied and get a refund, they invite you to keep the bonuses. Very Impressed. Total Price: $40. View Site
How To Build a Chicken Coop in 3 Days This one made second once again for the amount on information, not quite as much, yet still extensive, they have over 50 plans, and more are added. Lots of extras which are good, a couple are slightly whimsical, yet still nice. For the basic coop plan pack its $37, but for an extra $13 (Total of $50) you get the other raising chickens pack, which they also sell for $37. I dont think its quite as good as the Chicken Kit, but still a decent deal. View Site
Make Your Own Chicken Coop This one is a bit special, its a video guide. It was designed for absolutely anybody, doing videos which make things even clearer and easier, so the least DIY competent person should have no troubles. The information isnt so wide in this one, but its focused on being detailed to make things easy. All these guides make it simple and clear, but if youre especially worried about whether you will be able to do it, perhaps this one is for you. Price: $27. View Site
Building a Chicken Coop This one has slightly less information as well, which means plenty, but not absolutely busting. However, this was one of the first guides, its the benchmark product, high quality and simple. Something I would term The old trusty. If you just want to build your coop, no hassles, time-tested, high quality and simple designs that you can be sure of, for a decent price, this is the package for you. Price: $30. View Site
Chicken DIY Guides - To be honest with you, I was biased against this product, which is perhaps why its at number 5, purely for the video they put out, perhaps I just have bad speaker settings but the voice droned and the music hurt my ears. However, this has nothing to do with the product, and once we get past that, its actually a pretty decent product, a particular feature I liked was the video library, very helpful when youve come up with a problem. The information included is good, and quite extensive, all the information on raising chickens is in there as well.
It is a bit expensive at $40, however it becomes more attractive with a sneaky trick we are going to tell you. When youre on the sales page, exit. Thats right, exit the page, but, because they want the sale, a box will come up stopping you, and they will offer you $10 off. Its still good money for them, and also a good deal for us. So with that, the final price is $30. View Site
